Hi, I reckon I need this part and will probably replace the belt while I'm at it. The question I have is how to remove the old pulley. I have the correct torx head for my screwdriver, but the drum turns when I try to loosen. The online videos I've seen suggest sticking another screwdriver in between the arms of the pulley, which stops the pulley from moving, but the drum stills turns and I can't seem to get enough leverage to hold the drum and turn the bolt. TIA Dom

  • this is probably too late but for the benefit of others the puny splines on the pulley have sheared off and it will have to be replaced. To me this is design fault as the splines are subject to huge forces when driving a drum full of washing. Candy/Hoover shame on you. By jimmy - norwich - 23 June 2011
