How to Bleed a Karcher Pressure Washer
If you have just acquired a new Karcher pressure washer or haven’t used yours in a while, it is a good idea to perform some routine maintenance to ensure it’s working at an optimum level. This involves bleeding your appliance.
In this article, we will explain how to bleed a Karcher pressure washer to keep it working at its best.
What Is Bleeding in Pressure Washer Maintenance?
Bleeding refers to removing air from your Karcher. Trapped air locks can occur before first use, after long-term storage, or even part replacement. They can damage the pump and reduce performance.
Some other signs can indicate that you need to bleed your Karcher pressure washer: low pressure, loud knocking sounds, or machine surging every few seconds.

Step 2 – Flush the system
Turn on the hose tap and run the water through the system for a minute or two. This will make sure that any air in the system is removed.
