I have a Siemens Dryer E46-38 and it has started to smell of burning and smoke has appeared.
The 'Clean Filter' message came up and I wasn't sure what to do......so I just carried on until i could smell burning and smoke appeared! I have since cleaned the filter out which was full but it won't work. So I guess I have burnt an element out..help!

On the top right of the element image you can see a small red button. This is a reset button and if overheated the dryer will cut out until this is reset by pressing.
