Why does my Karcher 2.330 spew water out of the back when switched on and attached to the hose
Also the patio brush no longer spins when attached to the Washer, (no pressure, it seems) although it is free running when spun by hand.

It sounds like you have a significant leak. disconnect the power before dismantling and connecting the water to trace the source. The reason why the patio cleaner is not spinning is probably due to the lack of pressure due to the leak.
