My Hotpoint RLA51P keeps freezing up.

I have fitted a replacement thermostat as supplied by your company but it didn't cure the problem. The door seal is perfect, no defects and it is clean. Any ideas what I do next? Regards Robert

    Chris at eSpares says...

This is a wet wall larder fridge and will form a light coating of frost and ice drops on the rear wall. These should defrost regularly and drain into the gutter at the bottom of the wet wall and through to a reservoir above the compressor. If the temperature in the fridge is below freezing and the compressor is still running the problem is either a faulty thermostat or the capillary for the thermostat is not located to touch the wet wall to identify the temperature.
