Does this part include the blue level marker which slots into the softener compartment, which is the bit I want to replace?
Without this level marker the softener compartment remains full of water at the end of the wash. None of the pictures of the dispenser drawer in the instruction book or on the parts website show this blue level marker.

No it doesn't, try searching for hoover syphon which should offer 2 types and choose the one that looks like your old one.
