my oven does not heat above 160 when set for 240 will this switch cure the problem

i have fitted a new thermostat but has made no difference

    Top ovens will usually use the grill and a base element. If either are not working the oven will struggle to heat. It is more likely to be a faulty element but could be a damaged switch.
