    Hi stu, it could be the inlet valve that is the problem. I'd advise first turning the dishwasher off at the wall and turning off the water supply to it. Then, get the dishwasher in to an open space so you can have a look at the back. Remove the inlet hose and from there, follow the path the water takes from the hose and in to the dishwasher to find where the fault lies.
