How do you fit the diplomat Terminal box?

I had somebody who removed it but never came back with the part, However was told to order the diplomat terminal box. Is there any information on how to fit this part? (video clip)

  • Probably too late for you now, but: Isolate the supply FULLY before starting (live and neutral). Open the cover (screw driver clips or dedicated cover screw) and remove the supply cable. Unscrew the box from the appliance. Remove each wire from the old terminal box (one by one) and connect to identical position in the new terminal box. These are 'spade' connectors and normally can be removed by hand, although pliers maybe of assistance. Once all wires transferred to the new terminal box, mount new terminal back into appliance and reconnect supply cable. Always check connections to ensure no wiring short circuits. Apply power and test. If you have the equipment, perform a portable appliance test (PAT) before connection of main power cord to ensure continued safety. By Anonymous - Orkney - 29 April 2012
