Any idea why new oven door catches on the bottom of the oven?

I recently purchased an oven door for a Hotpoint BD32B (ES553588). It seem to fit until I opened the door when it became obvious that something was wrong. The door catches on the frame of the oven. Before I return the item, any idea what may cause this problem, aside from the obvious that it's the wrong door (but I did check compatibility).

Check the outer glass fixing brackets are inside the inner door skin not outside and recheck the hinges are fitted onto the frame correctly.
