Indesit IWME126. Door locked, all lights flashing. Does anyone know whether buying only the washing machine door interlock part is enough? Do I need an engineer to check circuit board? Opened machine to release the door by pushing down on the door catch

Just because the door does not open does not always point to a faulty door lock as if the machine recognises a 'fault' then it will often lock the door. Check what is working after restarting and see our video as you may not be able to replace the control module if it is needed. http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1793/how-to-diagnose-washing-machine-control-and-program-problems
