When my Bosch Dishwasher should be filling with water the water hose makes a repeated knocking sound .

When I add water by opening the door, the Machine stops knocking and carries on working perfectly . It sounds and feels like the input valve is quickly opening and closing repeatedly several times at intervals of less than a second

This can be a common problem on Bosch machines caused by grease build up in the fill hose entering the sump causing water to back up and trip the overfill float. Try running a cleaner like: Stock Number ES1566874 through the machine to disperse the grease to avoid dismantling.
