My pressure hose has sprung a leak, is this designed to repair it?

We do not think this is for repairing a leaking high pressure hose. It could only be fitted onto the hose by cutting the hose in two and pushing both ends into it. As you clamped the hose in place it would close the hose and prevent water flowing down it.
