I live in spain and bought this for my 91 year old mother who lives in middlesex. She has a 5 year old tv and cannot get this remote to work. why not? we have checked the batteries are new and put in correctly.

Hi there, there should be instructions on how to tune the remote in the manual that came with the TV - it will differ from model to model. Generally speaking though, it should involve pressing a button or series of buttons and aiming the remote at the TV. Best of luck.
