VP9608 has not been used for some time.
I have changed to a SONY TV and am now using HDMI connections. My matsui player has only a SCART connection and whilst my disc reader and BT vision successfully operate on the two HDMI connections, the matsui scart does not. I am assuming thrtefore that the smart remote control is failing. Your advice woud therefor be appreciated?

The scart connectors used to 'grab' the television and automatically show what was connected when the video started playing. It sounds like Sony may have allowed the HDMI cables to auto select but you may have to manually select 'AV' to access scart information.
