Chris, our dishwasher is about 9 years old, it operates cycles but will not stop and the water will not heat, I have checked the heater which reads 29 ohms and appears to be ok. The temperature sensor reads open circuit, assume this is incorrect.

It is a Zanussi DE4744 dishwasher Can you confirm that the sensor should read a resistance value Regards Ian

    We believe this is a simple thermostat and should measure low resistance (0 ohms) until it opens when hot.
