One of my drum paddles broke off and the little hooks that held it in place snapped off. When I have replaced the paddle will it still be safe to use with the broken off bits still somewhere in the machine?

It is quite likely the part will flush through to the drain pump and jam it stopping it from draining. Do not leave the machine unattended until this is flushed into the filter by the pump and removed.
