Would the failure of this cause water to spew through the dispenser upon draining or spinning

Answer this Question (2 Answers)

  • From very recent experience water spewing out of the powder dispenser could also be a blocked filter, which Hotpoint don't mention in the machine instructions. Filter found at back of WMA74, behind panel at bottom of machine and then you will see pump with feeds in and out. Undo two metal screw clips on large black pipe and the plastic clip connector to the pump, it all should come apart fairly easily. Clean out plastic bowl and replace!
