How do I replace the microwave bulb for my Panasonic NN-C897W? Can't seem to from the inside, do I have to take the outside cover right off? Or is there knack?

The bulb, if it is the bulb, I see when I take off the internal cover is nothing like your illustration. It sounds daft but it appears to be pink and face away from the oven interior towards the exterior cover!

The manufacturers instruction book says 'The oven lamp must be replaced by a service technician trained by the manufacturers'. This is likely to require the removal of the case and expose the very dangerous high voltage area. As there is the real risk of death if this was accidentally touched we recommend you do not attempt this repair yourself.
