How easy is it to feed the freezer sensor/phial from the thermostat location (inside the fridge) down through to the freezer?
Will it feed through a dedicated tube, or will I need to feed through to the back then pass it down and back through to the freezer?

Usually the thermostat phial is passed through a flexible tube that is moulded in the insulation. This is shown in our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/2/1555/how-to-replace-a-fridge-thermostat
- Chris, this thermostat comes with a phial that leads down to the freezer to specifically monitor the temperature in the freezer.

If you have a fridge freezer with a thermostat fitted in the fridge it will only monitor and control the fridge temperature and fitting the thermostat is relatively simple. The freezer will receive most of the cooling when ever the fridge needs to work and therefore will be a lot colder as a result if in normal use. In a 'cold' kitchen below 50f the fridge does not need to cool so much and this can cause the freezer to defrost in very cold situations like a garage in winter.
