How does the heater element for a Hotpoint DF52A detach/fix to the bottom of the dishwasher

    Hi there, replacing the element in your dishwasher is a fairly tricky job. First, look for any way to remove the floor of the dishwasher cavity. If, as I suspect, it doesn't come away, then you'll need to rest the dishwasher at 45 degrees and access it through the bottom of the washer. There should be some screws or other fixings holding the bottom cover on - remove these and you should be able to get to the element.
