Is there supposed to be a metal retaining clip within the top of the blade to make a snug fit?

Answer this Question (2 Answers)

  • Making it a loose fit actually helps it to stick on the spindle rather than stay in the loaf because the mix gets into the gap and acts like glue when baked. A snug fitting paddle would always end up in the loaf. By UncleRob - Cambridgeshire - 28 November 2014

This paddle is loose fitted onto the shaft. It may occasionally come off and stick in the loaf, this is usually covered in your instruction book.
