Does the dryer element control the washing water temperature ?

  • when mine packed in on our indisit washer/dryer nothing would work, everytime i switch it on it would trip the power. i tried too not us the element thinking i would be able too use the washer only but the machine went awire. so i think it does heat your water up as well, plus it was damp when i opened the section up.     No, the heating element is the part that actually provides the heat. How much of it is controlled by the thermostat though. See our advice centre for more information.
