HOTPOINT WDF740 washes ok but keeps showing f13 with flashing lights on the drying cycle and stops working and then door unlocks.

- I have just bought a washer/dryer as above and it came with a new sensor fitted, still flashed F13, i checked the fan, it seemed stiff, freed it off and now everything works great.

The error F13 is to indicate a dryer sensor (ntc) problem. Whilst it is possible that it could be another fault it is highly likely in this case to be Stock Number: ES663906 fitted on the right side of the dryer heater assembly on the top of the tub.
