  Hi there, the pin fits through the holes in the spring, the hook and the handle itself. The handle should face with the 'handle flap' facing the inner part of the door. The hook should face the other way, to the thinner side of the handle - the opposite side to the 'handle flap'. The spring 'teeth' should face towards the 'handle flap' and slot in to the handle.
