where does this go?

my heater element has two thermostats in the casing and are riveted on but they don't look like the one you show. Is there another thermostat located somewhere else that i am missing? Thought it was the element that was faulty but it works for about 30seconds and then goes out so i guess it must be a faulty thermostat.

This thermostat is usually fitted depending on model just above the drum entrance . Use a torch and a mirror or feel in the plastic surround above the door entrance where you can locate it held in place by a plastic surround and two screws. remove these and it drops in to view.
