DOES THE WIRES CONNECTOR REMOVE THE HEATER

THE HEATER UNIT IN MY HOTPOINT APPEARS TO HAVE ITS WIRES CONNECTED BY A SOCKET CAN THIS SOCKET BE PULLED SO THE WIRES CAN BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE DRYER BODY. ALSO I REMEMBER SOME YEARS AGO THAT IF YOU DROPPED A THERMOSTAT FROM SOME 2FEET IT WOULD RETURN TO ITS WORKING ORDER I DID THIS AT THE TIME AND IT WORKED THE THERMOSTAT WITH THE BLUE WIRE APPEARS TO BE OPEN.

    We believe if the heater has a socket it should be able to be detached to change the heater.
