Re: SW, Kidde recommends that after use (or at end-of-life after 10 years) fire extinguishers are disposed of safely and replaced with a new model. If the needle on the pressure gauge of your fire extinguisher is in the green/full area, and the manufacture date is less than 10 years ago, your fire extinguisher is still safe to use.
- If kept inside a damp free workshop, what is the useful life expectancy before the contents require changing or the cylinder requires recharging?

Visual inspections should be carried out monthly by a responsible individual. A basic service should be carried out yearly by a competent person.
