The roller is not turning properly. I believe the internal mechanism is probably bunged up with dog fur. How do I take it apart ? I have removed all six screws but this does not help at all.

  • You are right I have got through two of these st £57 a go it is a problem with Dyson and the Nylon cog designed to wear out not the belt. Is there another product I can use By DJE - Wales - 29 November 2017
  • Hi Nicholas, I have just taken mine apart (14 screws). Thought the same as you, but found that the inlet air (side of the head, behind the roller) drive a small belt (Dyson part 22262-01-02). I assume because the roller was clogged the belt has worn all the teeth from the nylon cog (behind the turbine). I also note that the drive at the end of the roller has a similar design but a small metal cog. Not sure why one is metal and one nylon. By DF - CANBERRA - 24 April 2016
