Part differs slightly from original
Hygena model AHY 4210. The original upper oven grill element front support rod extends into either side of the oven through small holes.After disconnecting the electrical connections and the fixing screw from rear of the element it was found necessary to bend each end of the sprung steel support rod backwards (thus effectively reducing its overall length) in order to withdraw the element. This action is not possible with the compatible replacement element since unlike the original it has additional clips holding the rod to the outer oven element thus preventing the rod from being flexed back into position. The replacement element is identical in all other features.Have you a solution to this problem?

If you fit one side of the bar into the hole you can usually get enough of a bend to fit the other side, it can be a little awkward but can be done.
