How do I remove the chimney cowling to my smeg KSEIV950X to replace the transformer . Thanks Brian Cannon

The chimneys on most hoods are attached to the walls with brackets and screws on the chimney next to the wall. Once these screws are removed the chimney lower section may lift and once clear from the hood you can 'open' one side then the other to allow it to pull away from the brackets and be removed.
