I have a Brandt oven, model no: FP980X1 with a faulty oven selector switch and you have recommended this switch, I have compared the picture with the switch and they appear identical! Before I order a replacement, how does the old one come off and the new one go on please? I wouldn't want to break it!

You will need to find the screws holding the control panel on which are usually located underneath, once the control panel has been removed it will allow you access to the switch through the top panel.
