K beater deposit
my K beater acquires a black coating when it is in store. This black sooty deposit can be washed off, but why does it happen at all?

- This happens to our paddle when it has been washed in the dishwasher. It's like a grey deposit that shows in the butter when you first use it even only a day later. We now wash it in the sink by hand and it never happens anymore!

This deposit could either be some type of mould or bacteria or could be as a result of contact with a different type of metal during storage. Make sure it is fully dry and on a plastic or wooden surface o prevent some type of electrolysis action.
