Kim's mincer doesn't work and constantly jams

I have just purchased the kmix mincer attachment and used it yesterday for the first time to mince some cooked beef. It was a total failure and the mincer clogged up very quickly and I had to constantly stop the machine as the motor began to smell as if it was struggling. I cut the meat into small pieces and fed it through gradually. I'm very disappointed with the performance - is this typical ?

    It is probably better to contact Kenwood direct for operational queries on Tel: 0239 239 2333 Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 4.50pm. However if you believe it is faulty we will of course honour the 12 month guarantee on this product.
