      I have a Vax Steam Cleaner S2 which has stopped steaming and has a vile 'fishy' smell when used. Does the filter need to be replaced

        The filter will discolour/darken over time depending on water hardness and/or frequency of use the filter and is recommended it should be changed every 12 months, or once the filter has completely darkened but also check for a blockage.
