How do I remove the above water filter housing

Answer this Question (1 Answer)

  • 1. Turn off the power and the water. 2. Remove the plinth at the front of the fridge by opening each door and unscrewing the two crosshead screws (each about three or four inches in from the edge). 3. Unscrew the two flathead hex screws holding the filter housing in place. 4. Shuffle the housing a little over to the right to make room to allow you to pull out the plastic drip tray just to the left. 5. With the tray removed, push the filter housing in towards the back so that you can access it more easily from the back. 6. Unscrew the six flathead hex screws holding the back panel at the base of the fridge. With a bit of a jerk, you should be able to slide the panel upwards to clear the two metal tabs. 7. Reach in through the back of the fridge to get to the filter housing which should now be within reach. 8. Pop out the two water hoses from the push fit connections attached to the filter housing and you can then remove the housing. By augo - - 08 February 2014
