Tumble drier over heating

Beko tumble drier June 2011.DRCS68S It has started to over heat. I can smell burning and it made a banging sound. It is still working.Still getting hot. It will work fine for about 30 mins then start to overheat.

    It may be the mains filter on the back panel were the power cord comes in that is failing. disconnect the power and examine for signs of damage or smoke.
