Is the motor on my oven faulty?

My Whirlpool oven heats up and the fan sounds like it's working but often it seems to lose power and stutters. It never goes off completely but stutters for a few minutes before running smoothly again. The last digit on the digital display is also very faint sometimes. Am I able to repair this fault before it breaks down completely?

It sounds like the fan motor bearings are worn. If the fan starts running slow or stops the element may overheat and fail so it is a good idea to replace the fan motor before this occurs.
