why does my product look different to my old one.the old one has microsan written all over and pic of hand in sink. is it too show that it needed replacing do you think? i know cooker hood filters work on same principal.

- Re picture of hand in sink on motor protection filter ........I think this means it can be hand washed. Obviously needs to be completely dry before replacing in the vacuum. Just to be sure Bosch customer services should be able to confirm this.

Change in the appearance of the filter doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be changed, just that the previous filter is now discontinued and has been replaced by a newer version.
