have a hotpoint SIAL11010P, just over a year old. Works ok on its first fill and wash cycle, then goes to drain and times out, with the pump still running and salt/rinse lights flashing. Could this be pump blockage?

Daughter did place a bowl of home made slime in dishwasher, which may have caused this - but all ingredients were food/soap based. I've tried running it with drain pipe outside and it seems a good pressure when draining, but still goes to fail mode. Checked the anti flood and this seems ok, next stop pump?

It is likely that the slime is blocking the dishwasher, check the pump first and the surrounding hoses for any blockage.
