This is the model number for my TECNIK fridge freezer TKR6610/2 (853975515104) - . Does the thermostat also also control the freezer as I cannot find a separate control for the freezer? thank you.

Many fridge-freezers use a thermostat in the fridge only. relying on the fact that the fridge is opened more often and the appliance should be in a warm kitchen. When the fridge door is opened the warmth from the kitchen enters and turns on the compressor and 205 of the 'cold' goes into the fridge whilst 80% goes to the freezer. As a result the fridge cools but the freezer freezes. If the appliance is in a cold environment below 50F 10C then the fridge may not need to come on and the freezer will defrost, this is not a fault and just needs to be in a warmer area.
