Hi, I have a z65 twinstream wet n dry vacuum cleaner and the motor keeps cutting out.

When I press the on button it buzzes and keeps kicking in then cutting out. I have checked the brushes and they are ok. Could there be a Capacitor or something else that may have gone . It is a fantastic machine and up until now has worked without a hitch. I dont think it is the motor that has gone as it keeps trying to kick in . Your help would be appreciated and if needed I would purchase spares from you as I have in the past, thanks.

The problem you describe could be a number of faults. The most likely is a broken wire in the mains lead, this can be identified by for signs of damage and if none identified turning on and carefully moving till the machine cuts out. If the cable is damaged it may spark and short out so be carefull. If the on-off switch is arcing you may hear crackling and see sparks by the switch. It is unusual for the capacitor to be the problem.
