my dryer is getting hot all over when in use, not just warm but hot, what could this be?
ive got a hotpoint tvm570, ive recently replaced the drum bearing due to the noise it was making, that all went well and now theres no noise, the dryer is still drying clothes, and I hovered it all out when I replaced the other part but not the whole dryer seems to be getting really hot when in use?? I have no idea why, so was wondering if anyone had any ideas what this could be thanks.

- Remove the bottom filter (the one you can wash out) and then shine a torch at the back of the housing. There might be a build up of damp fluff that you will have to remove by hand - there should not be any sharp edges but wear a pair of rubber gloves to make sure you do not get cuts or nicks. I removed the LH side of my CTD00P dryer and was able to get my hand in to remove the fluff.

There is no insulation for the drum and heat will build inside the dryer. However if the air flow is restricted by fluff in the filter or condenser or a blocked vent pipe all the heat and air will be forced into the case from around the drum seal. Check the air ways and pipes are clear and the seals to the drum at the back and front are both in good order. if they are the heat may just be normal.
