Cycle not starting after fitting element

Bosch SGS45E62GB/64 Element purchased BSH488856 and seems identical to existing element although numbers not the same. After fitting the machine fills to the point where the float valve is triggered to start drain pump but cycle (wash or pre-rinse) does not start. Re-checked that all wiring is replaced correctly and hoses routed properly. What have I missed?

The hose from the float to the sump can get restricted from grease build up and cause repeated fill and drain cycling. Check and clean if required. If the level is overfilling it suggests the flow meter just after the valve is not working. Check it is orientated correctly as well as connected.
