I have a Neff double oven, model U1461/NOGB

The lower oven fan sometimes does not start automatically. I find that if I use a small screwdriver and give the fan blades a flick the fan works OK. What causes the fan to occasionally refuse to start spinning without 'help' from a screwdriver? Does the fan need to be replaced?

The bearings on the fan motor are binding and the fan motor will need to be replaced.
