If you need to replace the programme unit but are unsure where to start, there’s no need to panic. We’ll talk you through how to successfully replace the unit without damaging your dishwasher.

What You Will Need:
Device to take photos (i.e. Camera)
Step 1 - Safety Advice
Safety First! Please make sure that you have switched your appliance off at the mains before starting your repair.
Caution: Due to the sharp edges exposed we suggest suitable Safety Gloves are worn to help prevent injury when carrying out this repair.
Step 2 - Remove Front Panel
First thing first - you need to gain access to the programme unit so start off by removing the front panel of the dishwasher and to do this you will need to remove the screws holding it in place on the inside of the door.
Once removed you’ll notice you are limited with space, therefore you’ll need to remove the main front panel from the door too. It will be the same process as before, just remove the screws from the inside.
Step 3 - Detaching Programme Unit From Panel
Now with the screws gone, you will have clear view of the unit which is covered in a plastic covering that needs to be removed too. Now to carefully remove the screw holding the unit on the panel.
Step 4 - Disconnecting The Wiring
Now the screws have been taken out, you can now remove all the wires connecting to the old timer unit. Normally, the terminals on the program units are numbered and these numbers will correspond with numbers on the wires so you can just match those up. However, if you don't have numbers on your timer, or even if you do, we recommend that you take a few photos so that you can just double check everything is right and wired in the exact way.
Step 5 - Putting Everything Back Together
Almost done! Now all that’s left to do is match the wires to the terminals - using your photo for reference and screwing everything back together and we are done.
So hopefully following the video and this step by step guide, your dishwasher timer functions as it should - ensuring you can continue to use your dishwasher to give your plates and cutlery a good clean.
