I have just replaced the main oven element that had blown. I switch on the power to oven and the thermostat light came on even though the oven wasn't switched on.
The main oven element heated up even though it was switched off!!!!!

when the oven blew it may have damaged other components which are now damaged, check the switch & the thermostat to determine if they have failed.
