My Dishwasher model SGS5002GB/07 really bangs and makes the cold water pipes bang when the shut off valve activates, how can I overcome this problem, would a double check valve help or would I need to have the cold water feed shut off valve replaced ?

Loose pipework will often move when shut off quickly as the water stops suddenly. It is not likely that changing the valve would improve this. It may be worth talking to a plumber for advice on this.
