Luckily, you can replace the door seal at home by yourself, as long as you know which steps to take. Here, we're going to run you through how to replace a dishwasher door seal on a Bosch dishwasher so you can get your appliance leak-free once more.

However, it's important to note that there are actually two seals in a Bosch dishwasher; a 3-sided door seal which runs around the sides and top of the doorframe, and a lower door seal which runs along the bottom of the door. This guide will be for the 3-sided door seal, so if you find that it's your lower door seal that's damaged, you can learn how to replace that with our other article here.

Safety first!

Remember, always switch off and disconnect your appliance from the mains before carrying out any work, repairs or replacements.

Step 3: Fit the new seal

Before fitting the new 3-sided door seal, make sure you have it the right way around. If you look at the end of the seal, you will be able to see that the lip is extended on one side. The seal should be fitted so that the extended side of the seal is facing inwards.

When fitting the new seal, leave about 2 centimetres of space at the bottom of the frame. Then push the seal into the groove around the door frame, working your way around the frame as you go.
