  Kenwood completely got this wrong, these whisks are a must, but to make them out of plastic when all other units with this food processor are s/steel really amazes me. For the jobs that they have to do the plastic just isn't up to it. I snapped mine just whisking up a meringue. The next processor I buy I will make sure the whisks are up to the tasks expected of it.

  Bad Design 19 October 2014

  The ends that engage in the twin beater geared whisk drive head broke very soon. The shaft and its location is absurdly weak when considering the expected duty. It seems that abs has been chosen for the whisk, had it been acetal, the material would be more suitable (both functionally and toxicologically). This is an annoying design weakness and I am tempted to buy ten pairs as I know I am likely to need them!

  Plastic Beaters 13 October 2013

  I find these beaters extremely flimsy for the job they are supposed to do. I would like to make two cakes at once, but can't beat the volume of mixture required as the beaters detach themselves very easily. In this instance one of the very thin prongs at the top of the beater broke, hence having to buy a replacement. The blade which comes with this appliance is robust and made of metal. The beaters should be made of the same. Please forward this to Kenwood.
